From March 20-24 the SOMA Film Festival will showcase an unprecedented four Locals Only! programs for your viewing pleasure.

The festival will launch on March 20 at 5:00 PM with three films that range from the singer Kesha to comedians in South Africa. It will commence on March 24 at 6:00 PM with a program of entertaining shorts, many of which were shot right here in SOMA. In between will be a film starring Judd Hirsch, a holocaust survivor who became a civil rights icon, and a documentary short directed by a 13 year-old Millburn girl.

As festival director and founder Matt Smollon states, "we have always been interested in showcasing local talent with a "shorts program" but this year we received so many wonderful submissions from our friends and neighbors, we decided to expand our programming to highlight our talented communities."
